What Changes the Merchandise Price?

Brand and model mix, available documentation and condition can influence the asking price. A pallet of small mixed goods is not directly comparable to a lot of identifiable electronics or tools. Check the basis used for quantity and value.

What Costs Sit Outside the Lot Price?

Ask about freight, loading or unloading services and handling charges. Add inspection, repairs, parts, storage and resale expenses to your own budget. Overseas buyers should obtain confirmation of destination costs and responsibilities.

Compare Cost per Sellable Unit

If a hypothetical lot costs $900 including transport and you expect 45 sellable units, the starting cost is $20 per sellable unit. At 30 sellable units it rises to $30. Neither figure includes subsequent selling expenses.

Do Not Treat Retail Value as Revenue

A stated retail total may relate to new goods and may not reflect today’s market or the actual condition. Use realistic comparable sales, then allow for stock that takes time to sell or does not sell.
